I’m so lucky to be able to do what I love AND give back to an organization that means so much to me. I’d love to introduce Tails of the World to you. First, I’ll share more about this collective and what they do, the dogs I met while photographing for the book, and how you can support Tails of the World!
What is Tails of the World?
Their website description really does explain it best. “The Tails of the World™ Collective is an international group of professional pet photographers, all celebrating our local dogs and fundraising for animal rescue.”
Basically, professional pet photographers (like me!) get to take photos of local dogs to create the Tails of the World: The Book. This book is then sold, with all proceeds going to animal rescue charities. It’s a gorgeous book of pet photography that I can’t wait to see in person.
Being a Pet Photographer for Tails of the World
As a Bay Area pet photographer for Tails of the World, my role is to meet and capture the dogs featured in the book! It’s such a fun and rewarding experience for me. As a photographer, I got to choose which animal organization I wanted to support, and I knew just which one…
Supporting the Tri-Valley Animal Rescue
Tri-Valley Animal Rescue has a special place in my heart. Not only have I adopted four of my dogs from this organization, but I also can’t help but find myself volunteering there when I can. So, when it came time for me to choose which animal organization to support, of course, I decided on Tri-Valley Animal Rescue. After photographing six amazing dogs around the Danville, California area, we were able to raise $400 for the Tri-Valley Animal Rescue!
Danville Dog Photography
Get ready to meet some amazing dogs at Danville, CA locations! These dogs will be featured in the 2023 edition of Tails of the World.
Daisy at The Danville Red Barn in Danville, California, USA – This sweet Golden Retriever brought lots of energy and sweetness to her session.
Marly at Osage Station Park in Danville, CA – This 17-years-young Doxie/Chihuahua Mix has been with his mom, Jessica, since she was a young girl! He was only a year old when they became family and have cherished each other ever since.
Lexi and Ozzie at Danville Livery & Mercantile, California, USA – Meet the inseparable duo Lexi and Ozzie! Lexi is a nine-year-old Chocolate Lab/Dalmatian Mix, and Ozzie, a 12-year-old Border Collie/Pit Bull Mix. They became close while being fostered at Tri-Valley Animal Rescue. Luckily, they found a human mom and dad to complete their family!
Mika and Kuma at Blackhawk Plaza Danville, California, USA – Check out these sophisticated pups. Mika is a sweet and spunky 1-year-old Chihuahua/Cattle Dog Mix (that was rescued in the middle of a busy highway), and Kuma, is a kind and loving 12-year-old Lhasa Apso. These two are lucky to have found each other and their families!
