The Best Pet Photography Happens When We Collaborate

My amazing clients (furry and non-furry) are a blast to spend time with.  C’mon…anyone that spends time planning and prepping their pup for a custom photo experience is my kind of person. I’d love to share more about what my pet photography process looks like and let you hear from some of my amazing clients.

The Angie Rose Pet Photography Process

My sessions are definitely well-planned custom collaborations. As we prepare for the session, I’ll get all the details about you, your pup, and anyone else in the photos. We’ll schedule a time (or two) to chat before the session so that we’re all feeling ready and excited about the session.

As we do the planning, I usually run through the following seven questions –

  1. Your pups age & activity level
  2. What you love about your pup
  3. Your goals of the session
  4. Your pups training level & what makes them motivated
  5. The perfect location
  6. Your style, hobbies, personality
  7. And lots more stuff relevant to the collaboration

Once the process is rolling along and I learn all there is to know about you and your pup, the ideas start swirling around in my head. There’s no specific template I follow for every collaboration because they are all unique and very custom.  I am always ready with lots of ideas on a shot list.  It’s always exciting to see what the final outcome will be. Sometimes it’s exactly what I saw in my head, and other times, it can be pleasantly unexpected and better than I thought. I truly love being creative and making people happy!
